Leading Your Family Towards True Greatness: Resisting the Lure of the Success Lie
Co-led by Darcy Kimmel

Between our inner bent towards self-protection and the culture’s demanding pull towards prestige and success, it’s easy to end up unwittingly prioritizing the wrong things when it comes to our families … and ministries. Lifestyle, beauty, influence, and recognition are easy paths to pursue – even if you’re devoted to Christ and serving full time in His ministry. Without realizing it, the things that Jesus said were the primary priorities of life find themselves overshadowed by the attractive but often toxic value system of the world that surrounds us. The good news is that it’s not only possible to raise a family with higher, more noble, and eternal priorities, but you can do it without losing any impact on the cultures you’re trying to effect for God’s glory. We’ll gain a clear target at which to aim—true greatness, learn the four qualities of truly great people, and see how this commitment sets our kids up to answer the three most demanding questions of their heart.

Bringing the Best Out of Strong-Willed Children
Co-led by Darcy Kimmel

Children can have very compelling personalities that seem to bring the worst out of their parents. This kind of behavior is notorious at getting parents to react to the child’s behavior at the expense of redirecting their heart. We’ll learn how to look at our strong-willed children through the lens of God’s grace and in the process make all of our strong-willed tendencies assets instead of liabilities in the hands of God.

Everyday Grace in Your Family
Co-led by Darcy Kimmel

How does God’s grace apply in relationships when our children disobey? Learn how to deal
with your children’s rebellion (even if they go completely prodigal on you) the way God
deals with you when you disobey Him … through the power of grace

Connecting to Your Child’s Heart Through the Power of God’s Grace
Co-led by Darcy Kimmel

It’s easy to become so preoccupied with getting our children to obey God that we undermine their ability to love and trust God. We’ll look at three driving inner needs of every child’s heart that a parent must meet if they want them to head into adulthood equipped to walk by faith. We’ll also learn the four freedoms that a parent can give their children that automatically bring the best out of them as well as inclines them to trust and obey both their parent’s leadership … and God’s.
