"Lord of All, or Not Lord At All”: Jewish Evangelism and the Uniqueness of Christ
Common to most Christian arguments against Jewish evangelism is the notion that it is not necessary for Jewish people to believe in Y’shua in order to be saved. The justifications for this point of view include arguments such as:
• God has another way of salvation for the Jewish people
• All Jews of every time (past, present and future) will be saved after Jesus returns
• Jews don’t need to know that it is Jesus who is saving them
Though used as an apologetic against Jewish evangelism, these and other related arguments have an impact upon all evangelistic endeavor, for they attack the uniqueness of Christ’s atoning work on the cross and the integrity of the biblical record. Either there is only one mediator between mankind and God, or there is not. This workshop will explore and answer eight arguments put forward by Christians against the unique work of Christ.
