Networks

Detailed information about the 2019 Forum is being updated. If a Network has not been updated yet, please review the information from the 2018 Forum for a look at the quality of instructors, teaching, and content that will be available in the 2019 Forum's Networks.

Network Meetings will focus on specific groups of evangelical leaders and provide a high calibre of biblical teaching, training, and resources to address specific problems and needs.

There will be 25 Networks meeting concurrently at this year's Forum. Attendees are permitted to attend only one Network. When you apply to the Forum you are also applying to attend a particular Network. Participation in various Networks may be limited.  If you do not fit this description, you would not be invited to participate in this Network. See Network descriptions below.

Please note that prior preparation may be required for participants in any of the Networks.

 

EUROPEAN LEADERSHIP FORUM SPLIT-TRACK NETWORKS

This year we are splitting six popular Networks into multiple tracks.

EUROPEAN APOLOGETICS NETWORK

European Apologetics Network: Foundational Track Updated

Applicants should be those with evangelistic or apologetic gifts who have NOT attended the European Leadership Forum Apologetics Network in previous years. The purpose of the Network is to train, mentor, equip, and resource those evangelists and apologists who are seeking to communicate the Gospel in their local communities. This Network will be led by John Kirkpatrick, pastor of Portrush Presbyterian Church.

European Apologetics Network: Advanced Track Updated

Applicants should be those with evangelistic or apologetic gifts who have first attended the European Apologetics Network: Foundational Track and the European Evangelism Network. The purpose of the Network is to train, mentor, equip, and resource those evangelists and apologists who are seeking to communicate the Gospel in their local communities. This Network will be led by Bruce Little, President, Forum for Christian Thought.

 

EUROPEAN BIBLE TEACHERS AND PREACHERS NETWORK

European Bible Teachers and Preachers Network: Foundational Track Updated

Applicants should be gifted local church pastors and lay preachers who want to develop their skills in expository preaching. This Foundational Track seeks to provide essential skills for communicating God's truth in engaging, relevant, and above all, biblical ways. This Network will be led by Peter Mead, Director of Cor Deo in England. 

European Bible Teachers and Preachers Network: Advanced Track Updated

Applicants should be those who have either attended the European Bible Teachers and Preachers Network: Foundational Track or who have attended Langham Partnership Preaching conferences in their countries. The aim each year is to consider the challenges and opportunities presented by different biblical genres, building on the key skills gained in the foundational track. This Network will be led by Peter Mead, Director of Cor Deo in England. 

 

EUROPEAN DISCIPLE-MAKING LEADERS NETWORK

European Disciple-Making Leaders Network: Foundational Track Updated

Applicants should be leaders who desire to develop maturity in the members of the body of Christ and are willing to grapple honestly with the responsibility to make disciples. This Network is designed for those who have NOT attended the European Leadership Forum Disciple-Making Leaders Network in previous years. This Track will be led by Emanuel Tundrea, Professor of Informatics and Spiritual Formation, Emanuel University.

European Disciple-Making Leaders Network: Advanced Track Updated

Applicants should be leaders who have previously attended the European Leadership Forum Disciple-Making Leaders Network: Foundational Track. The Advanced Track will help participants move from principles to practical application sensitive to each person's ministry context. This Track will be led by Jay Eastman, Team Leader for Mission to the World, and Josef Pavlinak, Director, Integrity Life. 

European Disciple-Making Leaders Network: Year-Round Mentoring Track Updated

Applicants should be leaders who have previously attended the European Leadership Forum Disciple-Making Leaders Network: Foundational Track and who commit to a year-round curriculum of webinars and in-person mentoring meetings. The Year-Round Mentoring Track will be led by John Musselman, President of the Jackson Institute.

 

EUROPEAN LEADERS OF CHRISTIAN ORGANISATIONS NETWORK

European Leaders of Christian Organisations Network: Groups A and B Updated

Applicants should be leading or helping to lead Christian organisations or churches.  They should be seeking practical tools and biblically-based solutions in key problem areas of the leader's role. The Network will be led by John Stevens, National Director, Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches, and Adrian Reynolds, Associate National Director for the FIEC.

 

EUROPEAN LEADERSHIP FORUM NETWORKS

European Academic Network Updated

Applicants should be teaching or leading in a university, seminary, bible institute, or other post-secondary educational institution or graduate students who hope to serve Christ in the academy.  This Network will help academicians from a wide spectrum of disciplines to think about their discipline from a Christian worldview, attain excellence in teaching and research, share Christ with others, and maintain spiritual fervor.  Leading this Network will be Daryl McCarthy, Vice President of Academic Programs and Strategy, Forum of Christian Leaders. 

European Artists Network 

Applicants should be artists who are engaging with society or the church. The Network provides a haven where Christian artists gather in community for relationship, spiritual nourishment, deep thinking, professional growth, and strategic possibilities. Leading this Network will be Charles David Kelley, founder of Bridge Builders International.

European Church Life, Leadership, and Planting Network  New

Applicants should be involved in the senior leadership within a local church or those leading or seeking to build a network of churches.  This Network explores values, principles, and practices found in the New Testament for local church life, leadership, and planting. Leading this Network will be Mike Betts, leader of Relational Mission. 

European Church Planting Assessment Network New

Applicants should have some current or future responsibility for the oversight of church-planting initiatives in their church, denomination, mission, or network.  This Network examines how to establish an excellent assessment process that considers knowledge of the church planter, biblical criteria for assessment, and the context of the future church plant.  Leading this Network wil be Philip Moore, European Director of Acts 29.

European Church Planting Foundations Network New

Applicants should be in the process of planting a church, have the desire to plant in the future, be part of a church-planting team, be part of the leadership of an existing church that wishes to plant churches in the future, or be part of a denomination or group that wishes to implement a plan to engage in church planting.  This Network will learn from the Apostle Paul's theology and practice of church planting as a model for planting churches today.  It will be led by Philip Moore, European Director of Acts 29. 

European Church Revitalisation Network 

Applicants should be church leaders interested in receiving the spiritual leadership and skills they need to revitalise declining churches and build sustained growth, health, and spiritual vitality. This Network will be led by David Brown, Chairman of the Evangelism Commission for the French National Council of Evangelicals (CNEF).

European Evangelism Network Updated

Applicants should be evangelists, pastors, and lay evangelists who want to be equipped to be share the gospel messages in ways that are relevant, biblical, and credible.  The Network brings together some of the best evangelists from across europe to provide fresh understandings, best practices, and biblically rooted insights. Leading this Network will be Andrzej Gorski, Founder and President, Gospel Joy. 

European Media Communicators Network

Applicants should be current or potential leaders who are gifted communicators in the media (in such creative fields as Journalism, Film, TV or Internet) who want to relate biblical Christian faith to contemporary popular culture in a way that is both authentic and relevant. This Network will be co-led by Lars Dahle, Lausanne Senior Associate for Media Engagement and Associate Professor at NLA University College Gimlekollen, and Margunn Serigstad Dahle, Associate Professor at NLA University College Gimlekollen. 

European Mission Leaders Network

Applicants should be leaders of mission organisations or missiologists who wish to understand and address contemporary issues, common challenges, and the changing face of missions in Europe. This Network will be led by Rolf Kjöde, Director of Continuing Education and External Courses at NLA University College, Anne Lise Sovde, National Director, NORME, and Evi Rodemann, Youth Consultant for the European Evangelical Alliance.

European Organisational Development and Fundraising Network Updated

Applicants should be those individuals interested in learning how to do development and fundraising through a variety of biblically-based principles. The Network will be taught by Jerry Twombly, Senior Partner, the Aspiran Group.

Applicants should be leaders involved in pastoral care or personal discipleship ministries. The Network will focus on common pastoral issues, with the aim of building basic pastoral skills grounded in a biblical understanding, and approach to, to the human heart. Leading this Network will be Jelena Sivulka, Founder and Director, Hana's Hope.

European Professional Counsellors Network 

Applicants should be professional or professional counsellors in training. This Network will examine the biblical framework for Christian counselling and will involve daily lectures as well as  case study discussions. Leading this Network will be Pablo Martinez, psychiatrist and former President, Spanish Evangelical Alliance.

European Politics and Society Network

Applicants should be those who are working in areas of politics, campaigning, or community action. Both seasoned campaigners and aspirant politicians will benefit from the input of leading thinkers and practitioners.This Network will be led by Nola Leach, Chief Executive of CARE (Christian Action, Research, and Education) and Charlie Hoare, consultant for CARE.

European Scientists Network Updated

Applicants should be involved in full-time scientific work or have a strong interest and background in the integration of science and Christianity. This Network will be led by Alexander Fink, Director of the Institute for Faith and Science, and Peter Imming, Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry in Germany. 

European Theologians Network Updated

Applicants should be involved in full-time theological education (such as teachers, professors, and theology students). This Network will be led by Dirk Jongkind, Research Fellow in New Testament at Tyndale House and the John W. Laing Fellow at St Edmund's College, Cambridge and Michael Reeves, President and Professor of Theology at Union School of Theology.

European Youth Ministry Leaders Network Updated

Applicants should be currently involved in youth ministry and seeking to develop their gifts to better reach and disciple the young generation. Leading this Network will be Dave Patty, Founder and President of Josiah Venture and Terry English, Director of Training for Josiah Venture.
