2012 European Ministry to Muslims Network
The European Ministry to Muslims Network seeks to equip workers and leaders to understand the influence of Islam in their respective countries and to equip workers for evangelism and apologetics ministry to Muslims. Applicants should be those with an interest in ministry to Muslims, either already involved in ministry, or with a burden for ministry to Muslims in their country or beyond. This Network will be led by Keith Small, Jochen Katz, and other speakers to be announced. Prior preparation will be set for all participants.

Jochen Katz is the founder and director of Answering-Islam.org, the largest Christian website on Islam which provides more than 10,000 evangelistic and apologetics articles written specifically to answer Muslim questions, challenges, and polemical attacks on Christianity and the Bible.

Day 1
Introduction to the Ministry to Muslims Network
Keith Small
The network is introduced. Its goals and programme will be presented and explained. The teaching team will be introduced and the attendees will have the opportunity to meet them and each other.
Islamic Groups Active in Western, Central, and Eastern Europe

This session will give an overview of Islamic groups that are active in European cultures. Included will be their involvement in state and government structures and efforts to spread Islam on the ground.
Day 2
Exaltation of Muhammad in Islam
Jochen Katz
This presentation will examine the views Muslims have concerning Muhammad. What Muslims consider to be blasphemy in regard to him will be considered, as well as how he ends up being exalted above all biblical and prophetic figures including Jesus Christ. Biblical responses will be given along with advice for overturning this challenge to the Gospel.
Sin and Forgiveness in Islam and Christianity

The nature of sin and obtaining forgiveness will be comparatively examined. The biblical view of atonement will be clarified against the backdrop of the Islamic view of salvation so that it can be communicated to Muslim with greater impact and attractiveness.
Day 3
Yahweh and Allah: a Comparison

This will be a comparative overview of the natures and characters of Yahweh and Allah as presented in the Bible and the Qur’an. Special attention will be given to the question as to if they are the same God. Key issues that differentiate Yahweh from Allah will be emphasised.
The Return of Jesus in Christianity and Islam

This will be a survey of the events associated with the end of time and the return of Jesus in Christianity and Islam. Special attention will be given to how Muslims are currently emphasising eschatology and how we can use it as an entry point for the Gospel.
Day 4
Updates on Current Apologetic Issues
Keith Small
This will be a session where the participants will receive an update on the new and continuing issues of apologetic interest to Muslims since the 2011 Network. Developments in manuscript studies will be given, as well as updates on the latest issues in the scientific claims being made for the Qur’an. Participants will also be able to share what issues they are seeing emphasised in their national settings.

Keith Small
This session will round off the week by providing some summary conclusions and suggestions for how the Network can serve the attendees through the year and at the next Forum. These will be discussed and plans will be made for the continued work of the Network.
