Detailed information about 2017 Forum Mentoring is not yet available but will be posted in the future. Please review the information from the 2016 Forum for a look at the type of mentoring that may be available at next year’s Forum.
Since its introduction in 2006, Forum Personal Mentoring has been an important part of the Forum programme. This initiative provides Forum participants with the chance to talk one-on-one or in a cohort with an experienced leader (in some cases two leaders) in his or her particular field.
What is Forum Personal Mentoring?
Forum Mentoring works like this:
All Forum participants are invited to sign-up for the type(s) (2 maximum) of mentoring that interest them using the sign-up forms found on the Forum website.
Forum staff assign mentees with a mentor based upon their sign-up form.
One-on-one, hour long mentoring meetings are scheduled to occur at the Forum over a meal.
During a mentoring meeting, participants may pose difficult questions; seek advice on a specific situation; learn more about a particular topic of interest; receive prayer and gain encouragement.
Participants and mentors can find their mentoring schedule on their personal information sheet when they arrive at the Forum, informing them of when and where their mentoring meetings will occur.
The Forum Mentoring list expands every year, so we encourage you to check out mentoring types each year. You may sign up for Forum Mentoring on the webpage associated with each type.
Would you like a mentoring context that not only provides input from a mentor, but also supplies lively engagement from peers who might share best practice and strategy? In response, the Forum now provides select mentoring types in the format of a cohort. Your cohort would consist of a few participants who are currently experiencing similar circumstances or contexts, and have overlapping professional interests. Your cohort would officially meet twice during the Forum week for a mentoring session.
